Grace Nesseth and Matt Grooms took the first step on “The Golden Road” on Oct. 2 from Huntington Beach, California, and they’ve walked across the U.S. with their final destination being Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Nesseth and Grooms have walked coast to coast, traversing about a dozen states. Before they started their trek, they sold all of their belongings and packed up what they needed to see the country, WOLO reported.

Not only are they seeing the country, but they’re also using the trip to raise money for a charity called Time in a Bottle, a cleaning company that cleans homes for children who have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses at no cost to the families. They hope to raise $75,000, WOLO reported.
