Elberton attorney John Clark says he is stepping down as president of the Elbert County NAACP. It is a post Clarke has held since 1999.
Franklin County Commissioners, meeting in Carnesville, say they will spend the next ten days interviewing candidates for the vacant Franklin County manager’s post. Former Manager Beth Thomas resigned in November.
