Reba is getting a new sitcom and bringing along a few friends

Reba McEntire is returning to the land of sitcoms with her new show, “Happy’s Place”.

In the series, Reba stars as a woman who inherits a tavern only to find out that she has to run it with her younger half-sister that she didn’t know she had.

Fans of Reba’s previous sitcom will recognize Melissa Peterman who played Barbara Jean on “Reba”. The pair have worked together several times since “Reba” wrapped, and have formed a great bond.

“It’s whole new characters, a whole new scenario and a lot of our same team,” Peterman told Entertainment Weekly. “The dynamic is gonna be that dynamic that we have, that natural one.”

Though NBC has not given a specific date, “Happy’s Place” will air on Fridays at 8PM starting this fall.
