Kamayrion Glasper, 19, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder, WAFB-TV reported.

Glasper is accused of shooting Richard Eackels Sr., 27, who died near the free vacuum area of Benny’s Car Wash at about 1:20 p.m. CDT, WBRZ-TV reported.

“It occurred while the individuals were cleaning their cars,” Sgt. L’Jean McKneely, a spokesperson with the Baton Rouge Police Department, told WAFB. “(Eackels), a passenger and two kids were inside of a car. Glasper pulled up in his car and as he was cleaning his car, he noticed that (Eackels) and the persons were inside of the other car. He began shooting at them, (and) the passenger in the other car returned fire.”

Glasper was shot in the leg and was arrested at an area hospital, according to WAFB.

Police believe the shooting was caused by a previous dispute between the two men, WBRZ reported.

“It is definitely out of control,” one woman, who asked not to be identified, told the television station. “We have to get it together, people.”

Police are still searching for the man who shot Glasper, WBRZ reported.

It is not the first time there has been a fatal shooting at the car wash. Last year, one person was killed after road rage ended in gunfire at the business, according to the television station.
