It has turned into a bit of a rebuilding year over at ABC’s The View, but new reports of Barbara Walters’ replacement appear to be untrue.
On Friday, the New York Daily News reported that newswoman turned talk show host Katie Couric is being considered as a possible replacement for The View’s founder and Executive Producer who is in her final season and is set to retire in 2014.
According to multiple sources, Couric’s own talk show, Katie, is currently on life-support entering its second season, as ratings continue to sink.
However, Katie has decided to put the rumors to rest by promptly issuing this tweet:
In the meantime, the ladies of The View are enjoying a ratings spike amid the honeymoon of newcomer Jenny McCarthy who has taken the place of former co-host Joy Behar.
